Lamp of Murmuur reste un cran en retard pour placer ses pions en avance. Avec Submission And Slavery, il fait un immense bond dans le temps mais reste rétro, passant de l'ère romantique du XIXe siècle aux thèmes gothiques des années 80. Le raw black metal de salle de torture est tempéré par des synthés vampiriques ("Reduced To Submission And Slavery") et une esthétique coldwave assumée ("Dominatrix's Call"). Suranné, me direz-vous ?
